As an Atlanta newborn and family photographer, I love when families embrace the busyness and joy of the toddler season during their family photos.

This sun-drenched lifestyle family session in Atlanta, GA at Winn Park was so full of joy and toddler energy! We ran, played ring-around-the-rosie, sang songs, and explored together all while documenting it in portraits to last for years to come on the walls of their home. The Franklin family experienced getting married, having a child, and moving all in the midst of the 2020 pandemic. What a joy it was to capture their first family photos in many years!

“I’m so worried that my kids are going to run around the whole time.”

“Do you have experience with toddlers on the move?”

“My kids have a mind of their own! Good luck getting them to stand still.”

I hear you. Those are valid concerns that I've heard through the years. But what if I told you, “Bring it on?" All the chaos, all the energy, all the crazy. I use your children’s energy to create some of the most authentic moments of you all interacting together. Some of the most ordinary, every day moments are the most magical photos to hang on the walls of your home. So imagine this with me... Your husband is throwing your three-year-old in the air to make him laugh until his belly hurts. While your six-year-old is wandering around picking flowers for you. Meanwhile, you are rocking your sweet little baby that won’t let you set her down. Those are moments that you will look back on and smile at. Those are moments where we will embrace all of the energy and wandering imaginations to create something beautiful. So, yes, those are valid concerns. But let me reassure you, I’m here for it!
