My favorite days begin with quiet mornings. There is just something about the morning rays streaming through the windows that warms my heart. I find joy in these quiet moments doing the simplest of things, such as coffee on the back porch watching the sun rise or time spent in prayer and reflection with God.

Later in the afternoon, you can almost guarantee that I've got my second cup of iced coffee in hand. As the afternoon sun fades into an evening sunset, I lay aside my busy schedule to finish the day completely focused on my family. Some of my strongest and most delightful family memories come during the last few hours in the evening. Laughing and catching up during dinner around the table. A walk around the neighborhood. Or a game night filled with competition.

While these are just simple day-to-day things that bring me joy, I have a heart for adventure. As I've grown older, I've learned that it is so easy to become busy and lose focus of the simple things. And I know I'm not the only one! So now I choose to find the adventure in exploring a new park or cooking that one Pin on Pinterest that has been buried for years. After all, its the little things that matter at the end of the day.
