The AJP Experience | Indianapolis Family Photographer

June 30, 2021 Indianapolis Family Photographer

As an Indianapolis newborn and family photographer, I make it my priority to give you the full portrait experience from outfit planning to framed heirloom art on the walls of your home.

Want to schedule your family photos, but aren't sure what to expect? Worried that your kids are "a little too crazy" to be photographed? Curious how my portrait experience is different then let's say your aunt's cousin who has a camera?

Well here is everything you need to know about the AJP Experience...

You're always going to be greeted with a smile!

That's my AJP Promise to you. Sending me a DM on Instagram? Expect lots of laughing emojis!! Run into me at Dunkin'? Expect me to ask how you're doing! Around here I want you to know me... and I'm known for laughing... like all the time!

All things photography and business aside, I am just a girl who is extremely passionate about people. I have a rather laidback, energetic personality. Is it possible to be both? Absolutely! Just like you, I run on coffee, sunshine, and Jesus. I want to get to know you, your story, and what makes you smile! I consider myself a professional when it comes to creating children giggle! ;) There is just something so special to me about building connection with people through laughter.

Around here you can always expect an energetic "Hello!"

When you reach out about your session, you'll receive a welcome letter and my Investment Guide.

Sometimes reaching out to a family photographer is the hardest step. So together, let's check that off your to-do list! I am so excited that you want to reach out to me!! I want you to know that I would be so honored to photograph your family. I can see it now—a time filled with laughter, snuggles, and sweet memories, set in the most beautiful light. I would capture some of your best moments as a family that will look stunning hanging on the walls of your home.

The Investment Guide will include all the details you need to know about booking your session, as well as the three investment packages I offer. I even include a bonus Q&A process, because I want you to know that questions are always welcome! I am always just one email, DM, or text away if you have questions about my process or your investment. Your first decision is to choose a date for your session and an investment package! That's it!! You're booked! After that is when the fun happens!

You're booked! Let's schedule your complimentary consultation call!

About three weeks before your session date, we will schedule a phone call to plan out all of the details in one sitting. After doing family photography for many years, I've learned that it is easier for a busy mama like yourself to hear all the details talked through well in advance. I want to get to know your vision, hear your story, and design a custom action plan to bring your dream heirlooms to life! This phone call is when we can plan outfits, location, and introduce wall art options!

And don't worry, because I come well-prepared with plenty of suggestions and ideas for all the details! I custom plan for your phone call and will never leave you hanging! Another AJP Promise. After our call, I'll send you my signature Style Guide that is filled to the brim with tips and tricks that I've learned through the years. And at the very end is a *BONUS* printable checklist and sample timeline to help you best prepare for your session day!!

Lights, camera, action! Time to make it a family night!

This is when the magic happens! Your session will be a special time for your family to relax, laugh, dance, and love on each other as I gently guide your family in organic interactions. You can trust that I will take care of your family as lovingly as I would my own. My heart is for every member to come away with a heart full of laughter and love!

And trust me, it will be fun! Your babies will get to play ring-around-the-rosie, share secrets, and run around in a field with your friend. I always ask that parent avoid telling them that they have to “say cheese” and stand still. If they are prepared to have fun and they know that I am a friend, they will feel comfortable and ready to cooperate. Take a deep breath, mama, and let them know how excited you are!!

Consider making the whole evening a fun family night by planning a dinner or ice cream date as a family for after your session! You’re already going to be all dolled-up! Why not take advantage of it?! I know that life can get busy and checking your family photos off of your to-do list can feel like such a relief. So take some time after the session to relax, have some fun together, and celebrate this season of your life!

After the best experiences, you always walk away from it with a special memory and a tangible souvenir!

Your portrait experience doesn't stop after your session, because I believe that photos weren't intended to sit on your hard drive. At your reveal session, we will meet in-person or virtually to design and order artwork to fill the walls of your home. I'll start by showing you a slideshow of your professionally edited photos, and then from there we'll work together to choose your top favorites that you just can't live without After that, the options are limitless!! I have so many samples and sizes that I can show you!

Every piece of artwork is designed specifically for your home from the size of the piece to the design of the frame. After we design your heirloom together, your artwork is professionally printed, matted with a thick white border, backed so that it can last for years to come, and ready to be hung on the walls of your home. After a few weeks, your order will be delivered directly to your home! All so that you don't have to worry about a thing!nThere is nothing quite like walking away from an experience with a tangible print of the people dearest to your heart!

Have more questions? Contact me here! Sound like we're a good fit for each other? Let's chat!!

Best,

Your very energetic family photographer, Annika! :)
