June 20, 2020 Lifestyle Newborn Session
As an Indianapolis newborn and family photographer, I was privileged to photograph a sweet family of four in the comfort of their own home as they welcomed Baby Aaron into the world.
This handsome little fella definitely stole the show at his family's newborn lifestyle session last month! He knew just when to sleep, when to give the cutest little smolder, and when to yawn at the most heart melting moments! This family happens to be the leaders of the young adults group at my church, and I have been able to witness the announcement of both of their pregnancies. Aaron's mama reached out to me back in April about photographing the newest addition to their family coming in early June. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, those plans were up in the air after they were asked to quarantine for two weeks following the birth. Thankfully, just a few days after their quarantine timer was up we squeezed in some family photos with their sweet little guy before life got too busy!
It's during times like these that you realize how precious life really is! Aaron may not remember a thing about being born in the middle of a pandemic, but what he will remember is how sweetly his family loved on him as they expanded their family from a family of three to a family of four. It makes my heart so happy that families trust me with documenting these sweet early moments of life! While Kaylin is only about 15 months older than Aaron, we were able to catch some really sweet moments between the two siblings. In the future, I'm positive it will turn into a competition to see who can have the most camera attention!
The beauty of an in-home lifestyle session lies in the mere factor of comfort. Home is where your family feels like they can be completely themselves. Home is where many precious moments unseen by the public eye take place. Home is where a new mother rocks her precious baby boy in the wee hours of the morning, and a father sings to his little girl before she goes to bed. This session gave Aaron's family the chance to slow down, take a deep breath, and just simply find comfort in the season they're in. And it gave me the opportunity to provide an environment in which we could carefully curate authentic, everyday moments.
