January 6, 2020 Winter Family Session
Y'all this Christmas season was the sweetest, as my entire family got to all be together in Indianapolis, IN with our newest members for the holidays!
My family. My tribe. My people.
Together.
These are the people who are my motivation behind family photography. These are the people who cheer me on in every endeavor. These are the people who have my heart, and I truly mean it when I say that being together for this past week of holidays was the best gift of all. My family is spread out between Indianapolis, IN, Greenville, SC, and Tarpon Springs, FL, and the next time we will all be together is at my sister, Kylee's wedding in July. The older I get the more I realize that every moment together is valuable, because the times that we are all together are few and far between.
This year we not only survived a pandemic, but our family excitedly added the first grand baby into the family (I've been told once or twice that Hazel is my mini-me, so I'll consider that a win!) and celebrated my sister's engagement to the love of her life, Jon! Newborn photos and proposal photos are coming to The Journal soon! As our family grows, I get more and more excited for the rare times that we are all under the same roof rather than the actual holiday we may be celebrating.
After a year like 2020, together holds a whole new meaning to me.
